The Alder Mansion - Yonkers NY

The Alder Mansion (W.B. Thompson Mansion) has been a movie site staple in Yonkers for the past 10 years. Films such as "A Beautiful Mind",  and "The Royal Tenenbaums" were filmed there. More recently was an episode of WB's "Gossip Girl". I have always been infatuated by this place and came often when I was a child... only, of course, to be kicked out :(
The mansion was built in 1912 in the Renaissance Revival style by William Boyce Thompson, who made a fortune in the mining industry.

Re-discovering my spirit communication abilities is what drove me to visit again. Only this time Erin was lucky to befriend the caretaker, Chris (who, yes, was almost going to kick me out!). He and his cutie patutie lab-mix, Rufus, showed me around the inside. I remember the empty pool up the stairs on the right as the farthest place I have gone within the mansion.
Chris showed me the fantastic library where I did end up capturing tiny orbs along the red curtains. The biggest shocker was the 'baby's face' that I caught in a shadow by a bathtub. I did not see the face in playback but at the time, Chris informed me of the supposed 'Little Girl' ghost lurking around the mansion.

Re-visiting your destinations is always a good way to capture what you want. Next time, I will bring the meter!

 Creepy huh?
Wonderful library. Tiny orb on red curtain on the right
You can't see it that well, there was a barefoot print on this floor. The floor was sanded and redone. A few days later, the footprint was back.

The empty pool that I almost fell in :)

Untermeyer Park - Yonkers, NY

Untermeyer park is probably the most well known grounds in Yonkers. It is famously known as the hideout of the notorious serial killer int he 70's known as "Son of Sam". Because of this, It has also been the site of many satanic rituals.
I used to come here all the time as a kid (across the street from my house) and just walk around the gardens and the forests. There was one time, however, when I was 12 years old that I walked a bit deeper into the woods. The energy was shifting and kept moving me deeper into the woods. Then, I actually saw it. The burned down house/cabin which was "Son of Sam" 's main hideout. The vibes in that part of the woods were always less then calming. Many dead bodies had been stored here. Nothing within this area could compare to the feelings around this burned down cabin. The red paint with the "Son of Sam" mark on it was still faintly there. Only did I wish I had a camera.
I havent been that deep in the Untermeyer woods since then. I did however go back and took some pics of the areas where bodies were found. Nothing in the pics. Again, I'm guessing the energy there is to overpowering.
I will be back this spring, and I will go back to that cabin, and I will bring my camera this time.

St. Josephs Cemetery - Yonkers, NY

All 4 of my grandparents are buried in St. Joseph's cemetery, along with some other distant relatives. I frequent this cemetery a lot. It is less then 5 minutes from my house and has mixed energy. There is a lot of good here but there is something not so friendly always lurking in this cemetery and follows you no matter where you go.
I visited my grandparents grave to see if it still feels the same. Energy is ok there, just not so much for the grounds in general. I did however catch some blurriness in the following pics. You be the judge.

Pic 1 - A perfectly STRAIGHT blurry line goes from the outside to the head of the statue along with a blurriness over the baby. I saw this in playback after I took it. I took 2 more pics of the same area. The 3rd time I took it.. blurriness was gone. Always take multiple shots if you can. You want to be positive to rule out any dysfunctions with your camera or device.

You cannot see anything (well, I cannot) in this last pic. I was in this area taking multiple pictures for about 15-20min. There was strong energy in this area - especially this corner. Maybe the vibrations were so high and that is why nothing showed up?

WELCOME!

Thanks for stopping by!

I have been interested int he paranormal since I was a girl when I discovered I could pick up on the emotions of spirits around me. I can detect when they enter a room, when they leave, where they are and what they are doing. Thinking this was normal.. I didn't mention it to anyone.

While I was little, my dad was working on this family tree project and had to go to the cemeteries to write down the dates of births and deaths of old family members. This is probably my first experiences of being in cemeteries that I can remember.

I don't understand why but I feel comfortable in cemeteries. Call me weird? Sure, I don't care. Who defines what is weird and what isn't - its all opinion. Maybe it's because I am in tune with that other aspect of 'life' that I am being protected within these graveyards. I am not certain yet. All I know is that cemeteries can be my sanctuary. I have gone there before just to sit in the grass and read..or write...or draw.  It is like a second home to me.

From then on I began traveling to different cemeteries and taking pics of celebrity grave sites - catching some orbs in the action!

Once I got into college, I did not get much time to embark on my little 'ghostly adventures'. I am re-discovering this part of who I am now. Everything happens for a reason and there is a reason why I am needed for this now. Hopefully you will stay here and embark on this journey of new discovery with me...

I am not afraid of being who I am. I am me and this is what I enjoy. This is a hobby. You can understand or you cannot. If you do not, then don't waste your time here and criticize me.

Erin
